The humans behind the messy hands
Doodlebugs Arts & Crafts was created from a simple belief: that creativity should be fun, accessible, and for absolutely everyone.
No experience needed. Just a willingness to play.
What started as a love for art and making soon grew into a dedicated space where children, adults, and families could come together to explore their creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
At Doodlebugs, the focus isn't on perfection or producing a "gallery-ready" finished result—it's about the process, the enjoyment, and the confidence that comes from just having a go.

Meet the Doodlebugs Family
Our team blends professional artistic talent with years of classroom, SEN, and community support experience.
Lenya
From the moment I could hold a pencil, I was hooked. That passion led me to an HND in Graphic Design, specialising in illustration.
As a freelance illustrator, I've created everything from UK greeting cards to US t-shirt designs. Now, my mission at Doodlebugs is simple: to spark creativity, create calm through art, and help every single child feel proud of what they create.
Mandi
My passion for supporting children’s development led me to work within classroom settings—from one-to-one support for children with specific learning needs (SEN) to running gross motor skills interventions.
I am deeply passionate about children’s resilience and self-esteem. At Doodlebugs, there is no right or wrong—just creativity. There is nothing better than watching imagination take flight with just a box and a bit of creative magic!
Liz
With a background in primary education and a degree in Textiles and Fine Art, Liz brings a perfect blend of creativity, warmth, and educational experience to Doodlebugs.
As a volunteer, she is a calming, joyful presence—always ready to lend a hand with crafts or spark a lovely chat. Liz says Doodlebugs reminds her of all the best parts of teaching: laughter, imagination, and a whole lot of glitter!
Yvonne
A lifelong local (78 years and counting!), Yvonne has always been passionate about supporting children—from Snowy Owl with the Brownies to reading with pupils at St Bernadette’s School.
Now, she shares her time with us twice a week, bringing her warm smile, positive energy, and a heart of gold. When she’s not helping little hands create masterpieces, Yvonne loves reading, knitting, and crocheting. We are thrilled to have her!
